There is nothing better in the summer than serving up a
thirst quenching, healthy drink. There are a lot of versions of smoothies out
there, but sometimes you want something a little lighter to drink. My Cantaloupe
is a cool concoction that fits this need. It is lighter, smoother and has a
wonderful mild fruit flavor. It makes for a perfect seasonal summer drink that
will cool your palette and refresh your spirit.
¼ cantaloupe, seeded and coarsely chopped (about 1½ cups)
½ cup nonfat Greek yogurt, plain
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
2 tablespoons orange juice
4 squirts sugar-free vanilla syrup (Torani)
1 cup crushed ice
3 sprigs of mint for garnish
1. Place all ingredients, except the mint, in a blender.Blend until smooth and frothy.
